the conjunctive participle with kar

the conjunctive participle with kar
kar can be used as and when you have more then one verb but how do you know which verb to attach it to ? and is there a special construction for it ? thanks

It's always joined to the first one.

No, you can think of it almost the same as "and". There is no direct equivalent in English. It is used when someone does two actions right after one another. The catch is there is only one person doing both actions.
In some cases, it can be used to describe an action.
सँभलकर चलो walk carefully
कृपा/मेहरबानी करके पकड़ो kindly hold this

Thanks, that second book I am not aware of will have to look it up. Is the first book green or blue?

So would you say in the second way it can be used like English suffix "ly" to the end of words i.E slowly, easily, etc

No, not quite. 1) It is very limited. Uses of it have to be memorised.
2) In examples you gave ly is added to an adjective. slow-->slowly. easy-->easily, quick-->quickly
In the Hindi examples, कर is added to a verb. सँभालना --> सँभालकर, मेहरबानी करना ---> मेहरबानी करके
